Sahara
The desert is not a destination but an encounter. Camp at Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga, sunrise on the dune, evening around a fire. The road there is part of the journey: Dades valley, gorges, palm groves.

The key moments
- Sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes
- A night under the stars in a Berber camp
- Dawn camel walk into the erg
- Tea with a nomadic family
Three moments, one city
- № 01Day 1 — the southern road
Leave Marrakech via the Tichka pass, Ourika valley, Aït Ben Haddou, night in Ouarzazate or the Dades gorges.
- № 02Day 2 — entering the desert
Drâa valley, palm groves, arrival at Merzouga in the late afternoon. 4x4 transfer to camp, Berber dinner.
- № 03Day 3 — sunrise and return
Dawn over the dune, breakfast, then return to Marrakech or Fez depending on the chosen route.
Finding a room
A camp in the dunes, for one or two nights. Choose a small-scale site (max 10 tents) to preserve the silence. In Merzouga, a few pisé guesthouses let you arrive rested.
